Alabama - Mobile
July 4th

Battlefield Memorial Park

It’s the perfect setting to celebrate the Fourth, Battlefield Memorial Park, home to the USS Alabama battleship and a host of military equipment including airplanes and a submarine. There is no admission, but parking costs $5 for this event. Fireworks begin at 9:00 pm. No tents, grills, or alcohol, but one of our Insulated Totes is perfect for a cold drink!

Alaska - Anchorage
July 4th
Time: 9 am – 6 pm

The largest one-day event in Alaska boasts over 1,000 participants and over 25,000 attendees. The old-fashioned celebration begins at 9 a.m. with games, followed by a parade, and activities run until 6 p.m. with performances, vendors and a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Arkansas - Little Rock

Riverfest Amphitheater
Pops on the River, presented by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette is the state’s largest Fourth of July celebration featuring the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and fireworks.

Gates Open at 5:30 p.m.; Concerts from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.; Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Kansas City’s signature July 4th weekend festival returns to Richard Berkley Riverfront Park with a firework spectacular by internationally-renowned Zambelli Fireworks. Last year, the 18-minute extravaganza July 4th and the “sneak peek” six-minute show on July 3rd thrilled thousands as the fireworks reflected on the waters of the Missouri River. Day long activities include concerts, a kids’ area, vendors, military demonstrations and more. Outside food, coolers and drinks are not permitted to be brought in.

Maryland’s top beach destination, Ocean City, on the scenic Eastern Shore, boasts a double dose of Fourth of July celebrations. A day long, old-fashioned jamboree is taking place uptown with music, crafts, food and games from 12 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Manhattan’s East Side once again hosts the Macy’s fireworks’ display over the East River. American Harmony is the theme of the 2010 fireworks spectacular and the musical score will feature vocal harmony in styles uniquely American -- from a capella and gospel to barbershop quartets and choral ensembles. The score will feature The New York Pops orchestra, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and some of America's top vocal groups.

The best views will be from Manhattan's West Side between 23rd and 59th Streets and choice spots along the New Jersey waterfront. Keep in mind that the public viewing areas get extremely crowded, so arrive early and bring chairs, like one of our Portable Sports, or Camp Chairs, or one of our Picnic Blankets to spread out.

North Carolina - Raleigh

Concerts and entertainment follow with fireworks at 9:50 p.m.

Edmond’s Libertyfest 2010

CNN called this one of the top 10 "Places to be in America on July 4th," Edmond's LibertyFest is a weeklong celebration of the nation's birthday. With the state's largest hometown parade, one of the largest fireworks displays in the state and over 120,000 visitors, it's an event not to be missed. The fireworks are the grand finale on July 4th at 10:00 p.m. One of our Picnic Cooler Sets is ready, willing and able to take on this celebration.

Oregon - Portland

Longwood Gardens, just 30 minutes from Philadelphia, hosts one of the most beautiful settings for their Fourth of July concert, fountain display and fireworks. Rhode Island - Bristol

Bristol is home to America’s oldest Fourth of July celebration, now in its 225th year! Beginning with their Fourth of July Ball on July 3rd, with concerts throughout the weekend, including a highly anticipated performance by the U.S. Army band, many family-friendly events are planned throughout this three day celebration. South Carolina - Charleston

Patriots Point, home of the USS Yorktown, is hosting their 14th annual Patriots Point 4th of July Blast on Sunday, July 4th. Beginning at 5:00 p.m., guests will enjoy discounted admission to Patriots Point and can stick around for landside entertainment, enjoy sandwiches, snacks, sodas and water and, of course, the Low country’s largest fireworks display shot from the deck of the USS Yorktown after nightfall (around 9:10). South Dakota - Mount Rushmore
Mount Rushmore offers the perfect patriotic backdrop to celebrate Independence Day in South Dakota, but the Pine Beetles had other plans. These pests have made the surrounding woodland so fragile, that fireworks at Mt. Rushmore have been suspended for 2010. But alas, all is not lost, there will still be a two day event featuring entertainment, cultural demonstrations, reenactments and concerts that are sure to make it an event to remember.

Tennessee - Nashville

The Chase Family Fourth fireworks display is set with downtown Seattle as a backdrop on Lake Union. Other activities include the Chase Playfield (Kids Area), Street Scramble, National Anthem performed by members of the School of Rock: Northwest All-Stars, food booths and beer gardens. Festivities begin at Noon with a lavish fireworks extravaganza at 10 p.m. With all the activities, try one of our Picnic Backpacks or Picnic Coolers on Wheels to make lugging coolers a thing of the past.

West Virginia - Morgantown

Wharf District

Enjoy events in downtown Morgantown and in the Wharf District celebrating the birth of our great nation. Activities and entertainment include music on Court House Square, a parade, and contests, all ending with a fabulous fireworks display over the Monongahela River. Wisconsin - Oshkosh

Sawdust Days

Go back in time to the 1870's when Oshkosh had 24 sawmills, 15 shingle mills, and 7 sash and door factories and was known as the "Sawdust City" by gosh! Rejoice these times when you visit the annual "Sawdust Days" festival, which features five days of music, food, fun, parades and the largest 4th of July fireworks display in the area. The Festival Foods 4th of July Fireworks will be shot Saturday, July 3rd at 9:45 p.m. from Monkey Island in Millers Bay, Menominee Park. For this four day event, one of our larger Picnic Baskets for Six is certainly in order to stay cool and relaxed.

Wyoming - Casper

A great concert lineup takes front and center stage at this Fourth of July celebration! Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights are the 2010 featured performers. Food and vendor booths promise additional entertainment and the fireworks are set for 10:00 p.m. No glass or alcohol may be brought in, but coolers, food and beverages are. Thank goodness – because our Picnic Coolers on Wheels are just perfect for this event!
