Hammock & Outdoor Furniture Care and Maintenance

All products are constructed of select quality, North American kiln-dried hardwoods (maple, birch, beech and ash). Kiln-drying minimizes future wood shrinkage to ensure dimensional integrity. The natural hardwood frame on many of our products is unfinished. For typical camping/recreation use (indoor storage after use), our furniture does not require finishing.

We do not recommend that our products be stored outdoors. If subjected to use that involves repeated cycles of rain and sun exposure, we suggest the use of penetrating wood finish. For those products that are factory treated with Cuprinol® wood preservative, we suggest recoating occasionally as use and surface conditions may dictate. Treated with this level of care, our products should serve for many years of use.

Cover fabrics (unless otherwise specified) are 100% spun polyester which is UV, rot and mildew resistant, water repellent and colorfast. All cover fabric many be periodically cleaned with a mild soap, soft brush and air dried.

Should riveted components become loose due to heavy use or a dry environment, the bracing rivets may be easily tightened. Using two hammers, place one as an anvil against the head of the rivet and gently tap the other end of the rivet with the second hammer.

Our products are designed to support an adult under normal use. However, they are not intended to support the impact resulting from falling, jumping or bouncing. Use products in a controlled fashion.
