The Liberty Basket is handcrafted in the USA by skilled basket weavers.
The Liberty is a large rectangular rattan basket that measures appx. 22" long, 13" across and 9" high and it's heavy, weighing in at 10 pounds when empty. Why so heavy? Well its built to last with a heavy rattan weave, a solid wood basket lid and solid wood pie divider shelf (which doubles nicely as a serving table). It features heavy swing away double handles that were designed to be functional for carrying but swing out of the way during your picnic.
This Liberty is designed after classic early American baskets with unique pie divider shelf's. These allow you to safely store your food, perishables, or homemade pies in the bottom of the basket. The large size of the Liberty leaves you plenty of room in the top half of the basket for other picnic supplies. Remove the divider and leave the lid at home at you'll have a wonderful market basket. If it is not too heavy then you could leave the shelf in for extra food separation and protection.
